DESCRIPTION: Fritz Marti et Fils, Vieux-Charmont, France, three piece mantel garniture, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement with visible Brocot escapement and compensating pendulum in a black slate case with variegated red marble columns and accents, white two-piece enamel dial, beveled glasses, and blued steel hands with two matching tazze and candles.
CONDITION: black slate case is in very good condition with some small edge chips on the upper left side and lower right corner. The two beveled glasses are fine. The white enamel dial is excellent. Escapement pallets are original jewels. Movement is signed with award stamp from 1900 exposition. The suspension spring will need to be replaced. Two vial pendulum is in very good condition. Original steel hands. Cloth backing on rear door is replaced. Two matching tazze have a few small edge chips and come with large white candles which have never been lit.
